I’m a design researcher, educator, and consultant working on how design shapes and is shaped by systems of care, health, and inequality.

With a background in lighting, object, spatial, and systemic design, my work spans industry, academia, and public and planetary health. I research, teach, and run workshops on how design shapes systems of care, health, and inequality, and how it might be done differently.

I work at the University of Brighton, where I lead the Sustainable Design MA and lead on Sustainability in Design in the Centre for Design History. Alongside this, I work as a consultant, supporting organisations to engage critically with sustainability, systems change, and socially responsive design.

My approach is practice-based and collaborative, grounded in lived experience and creative methods, with a focus on more just and sustainable futures.
